Almog is the only Israeli to have participated in three different international Science Olympiad (Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics) and the only one to win two gold medals at two different Olympiad (Mathematics and Computer Science) and a silver medal in the third. The training of the Israeli national teams, which participate in the International Olympics in Science, is led by the Center for Future Scientists of the Maimonides Foundation and the Ministry of Education.

Almog earned his bachelor's degree cum laude from the Open University of Israel at the beginning of 11th grade and will soon earn his master's degree with a full scholarship in computer science under the supervision of Prof. Michal Feldman from Tel Aviv University.
